Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (Anime)

Picture from Wikipedia
"Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic" is an anime based on the collection of folk tales "One Thousand and One Nights", with its characters including Aladdin, Alibaba, Sinbad, spin-offed and mashed up together.  The story revolves around the young magi Aladdin and his adventurer friend named Alibaba as they conquer dungeons, battle with other magis and jinns spreading chaos around the world.

The theme of the story is unique, philosophical and fast paced in a good way. I'm quite hooked now in the series. I hope the following episodes remain to be interesting just like Naruto, Bleach and Fairy Tail. I'm not reading the manga to keep me away from spoilers. I love the animation.

The Donkey in the Well

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally he decided since the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. So, the farmer invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed shovels, and began to shovel dirt into the well.

All the other farm animals were very upset about this, because the donkey was their friend. But they discovered there was nothing they could do to help him. At first, when the donkey realized what was happening, he cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well, and was astonished at what he saw.

With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off, and take a step up on the dirt as it piled up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well, and trotted off!

MORAL: Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. But each trouble can be a stepping stone. What happens to you isn't nearly as important as how you react to it. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not giving up!

Shake it off, and take a step up!

Military Story: True Friend

Horror gripped the heart of the World War I soldier as he saw his lifelong friend fall in battle. Caught in a trench with continuous gunfire whizzing over his head, the soldier asked his lieutenant if he might go out into the “no man’s land” between the trenches to bring his fallen comrade back.

“You can go,” said the lieutenant, “but i don’t think it will be worth it. Your friend is probably dead and you may throw your life away.” The lieutenant’s advice didn’t matter, and the soldier went anyway. Miraculously he managed to reach his friend, hoist him onto his shoulder and bring him back to their company’s trench. As the two of them tumbled in together to the bottom of the trench, the officer checked the wounded soldier, and then looked kindly at his friend.

“I told you it wouldn’t be worth it,” he said. “Your friend is dead and you are mortally wounded.”

“It was worth it, though, sir,” said the soldier.

“What do you mean; worth it?” responded the Lieutenant. “Your friend is dead.”

“Yes, Sir” the private answered. “But it was worth it because when I got to him, he was still alive and I had the satisfaction of hearing him saying, “Jim…, I knew you’d come.”

Many times in life, whether a thing is worth doing or not, really depends on how u looks at it. Take up all your courage and do something your heart tells you to do so that you may not regret not doing it later in your life.

May each and every one of you be blessed with the company of TRUE FRIENDS. A true friend is one who walks in, when the rest of the world walks out. War doesn’t determine who’s right. War only determines who’s left.

Touching Story

TOUCHING STORY (Please read)
Once a baby girl went to a shop with her mother. The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed her a bottle with sweets... And said, "Dear child, you can take the sweets." but the child didn't take, the shopkeeper was surprised, such a small child she is and why is she not taking the sweets from the bottle. Again he said take the sweets. Now the mother also heard that and said. "take the sweets dear" yet she didn't take it. The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking sweets he himself took the sweets and gave to the child. The child was happy to get two hands full of sweets. While returning home the Mother asked the child why didn't u take the sweets, when the shopkeeper told u to take..? Can u guess the response... child replies Mom! My hands are very small and if i take the sweets i can only take few... But now u see when uncle gave with his big hands, how many more sweets i got!

MORAL LESSON: when we take we may get little but when our Father in Heaven gives He gives us more beyond our expectations more than what we can think of because his blessings are more Better than we can even imagine. Always ask God what u want and wait for the Lord to give u more..

Starting to Invest in the Philippine Stock Market

As of now stock investing is becoming popular among young professionals in the Philippines. I for one was hooked up in stock investing. Online stock brokers such as colfinancial, bpitrade, firstmetrosec and etc. made stock investing easier thus more appealing to an ordinary Filipino community.

Stock investing can boost your income but without proper research and education fear, greed and emotions might tear your invested money apart. To be able to succeed, we must read a lot and learn how to invest safely.

Teaching myself to play piano

I'm already 24 years old yet I decided to teach myself  Piano so I bought a Casio WK-500 electronic piano keyboard 2 weeks ago. In those two weeks time, I was able to play a lot of songs by practicing the songs stored on my electronic piano and watching piano tutorials on YouTube. I'm very happy because my family was impressed when I play my beginner pieces. I realized that learning to play a piece correctly is a very rewarding experience.

Currently I can play this beginner pieces:
1. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
2. Auld Lang Syne
3. Frere Jacques (Brother John)
4. First Noel
5. Fur Elise (Easy version)
6. Greensleeves
